Beans Stokes

Beans passed peacefully after a long and wonderfully mischievous life. She was rescued in 2020 and spent the last six years being loved, spoiled, and getting away with things she probably shouldn’t have.

Beans came into our lives unexpectedly. Originally, a guinea pig was planned. But when an opportunity came to meet this chinchilla, I knew immediately that she was meant to be part of our lives. She was gentle with strangers, despite her disagreement with being held…Love a girl with boundaries… She enjoyed a good chin scratch and was always willing to accept one.

Beans was also a tiny con artist.

Her favorite treats were dandelion yogurt drops and rosehips, and she developed an ingenious treat maximizing strategy. She would pretend to drop or lose her treat in order to increase the chance of receiving another. Whether this was an accident or an elaborate scheme remains unknown…

Her favorite show was Good Mythical Morning, her favorite spot was her fluffy hammock, and she always knew mom and dad were there when she heard the words “Beansie Weensie.”
