Spike Kirby

Spike was only with us for the final year of his long life. We took him from a neighbor’s yard one night when circumstances left him cold, alone, hungry and crying. He needed us that night, just as he has needed us every day since, and we are so very thankful that fate brought him our way. He was deaf, partially blind, and a little senile, but he loved to line up for treats with the other dogs, and go on our walks with them. His body was frail, and his kidneys were failing, but he was also the sweetest, most captivating little creature you could ever imagine. He passed away in his sleep on Valentine’s Day. We loved him very, very much, and we will miss him every day.
