Lilly Hartman

September 7, 2017 ~ June 7, 2025
Lilly, a Labrador-German Shepherd mix with a tender heart and a spirited howl, passed away peacefully on June 7th, 2025, surrounded by the family who loved her dearly.
Lilly faced an aggressive form of cancer with quiet strength and resilience, never letting go of her warmth or her will to be near the ones she loved. Even in her final days, she found the strength to greet her family at the door—tail wagging, eyes bright, full of love.
Born in 2017, Lilly quickly became more than a pet—she was family. A true companion in every sense of the word. She was a professional sock thief, often caught sneaking away with a stolen pair just to start a game of tug-of-war that she rarely lost. Her joy after a bath was unmatched, as she’d immediately roll in the grass with wild freedom, undoing every bit of cleaning. Though she never quite mastered swimming, she adored the beach and the feel of water around her paws.
Lilly was sassy, expressive, endlessly loyal, and full of love. She howled back with attitude, greeted strangers like long-lost friends, and had a way of knowing exactly when someone needed her. During heartbreak, sadness, and even silence, she was always there—offering comfort with her presence alone.
She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory. Lilly was there through growing up, growing older, and growing stronger. Though cancer took her too soon, it never touched her spirit. That part of her lives on—in the stories, in the love she gave, and in the socks she hid in unexpected corners of the home.
She was deeply loved. She always will be.
Lauren, what a beautiful tribute for Lilly. She gave so much love and received it from all of you. She was a great family companion, and will remain in the hearts that love her.
