Mabel Goliad, known affectionately as “Little Mabel” to my mom and “Mabelina” to many, was a one-of-a-kind mutt. Gifted to me by my brother in 2014, she quickly became my clever baby and lifelong partner in crime through all my eras.

She had a sharp mind and a soft spot for tiny tennis balls and fluffy beds. Mabel was fiercely protective til the end. Her favorite hobbies include outrunning cats and stealing naps in my dirty laundry.

For eleven and a half wonderful years, she made the world brighter and fun just by being in it. She may be gone, but her legacy of smarts, loyalty, and fierce charm lives on.
