Our beloved Joey passed away on Feb. 16, 2026, after 17 beautiful years of bringing warmth, joy, and constant companionship into our lives. Joey lived each day with a heart full of love and a spirit that never dimmed.
Anyone who knew Joey will remember the sound of his little feet pattering around the house at any hour of the day, soft, comforting rhythm that reminded us he was always close by. Whether he was exploring, checking on everyone, or hustling to the kitchen just in case a snack appeared, those tiny footsteps filled our home with life.
Joey was famous for his patient—and very hopeful—spot under the dining table, waiting for food to drop. His love for snacks was only matched by his dedication to keeping an eye on every meal. He also adored his tennis ball, carrying it proudly and ready for a game at any moment, his eyes bright with anticipation.
One of the greatest joys of Joey’s life was his friendship with Spot, his best friend who passed in 2021. The two were inseparable, sharing adventures, naps, and a bond that could never be replaced. We find comfort in imagining them reunited now, running side by side once again.
Though our hearts ache, we are forever grateful for every moment Joey spent with us. His loyalty, his gentle presence, his playful quirks, and the comfort of his constant little footsteps will echo in our memories always. Joey was not just our dog—he was family.
