Misty Sanchez

misty sanchez

Misty was my best friend for the past 11 years. She was born last and the runt of the litter, and I actually didn’t even want her initially. My older sister insisted we keep her instead, and that decision had greatly impacted my life because Misty was the most special companion I’ve ever had.
I feel like I can’t even describe her personality because you had to have witnessed it yourself. She was sweet and stubborn. She was concerned if I spoke or laughed too loud. She would meow back to us if we talked to her. She would greet us at the door. She would run over to me if I called for her. It sometimes felt like I was looking into a little mirror when I was with her because she was so much like me. I could just look at her and tell how she was feeling. My sister and her family also adored her, and she quickly claimed my husband as her new favorite napping spot.
Misty was diagnosed with mammary carcinoma, and it unfortunately spread to other parts of her body. She was laid to rest at home, on our bed where she loved to cuddle and rest. Our hearts are broken, but we’re all so lucky to have been loved by such a special kitty.
