Baxter Phillippi
August 2, 2008 ~ February 2, 2020
On Feb 2, 2020 we lost our furry son; he was one of the best Basset hounds anyone could ask for. He was born in Borne, Texas. We got him in August of 2008 and he was a tough little one with those great big floppy ears. He traveled everywhere with us, making multiple trips to North Carolina, Kentucky, Hawaii and many other places during his time with us. He was a world traveler and always enjoyed going for rides in Papa’s truck. Any time we grabbed the keys he would try to be the first at the door, hoping he was getting to go on another trip. When he made the trips to NC he got to visit all of his Momma’s family to include her father who was in a Nursing facility, and they all loved him there. He was a true cheese hound every morning; regardless of what was going on, he would be waiting for his cheese. Then for dinner he would always want his baked chicken, and that’s when we knew something was wrong when he turned down his chicken. So on a Sunday morning he passed away and was no longer suffering, even though he wasn’t showing any signs that something was wrong. He will be missed every day as Momma won’t be woken up every few hours and Papa won’t have his night protector…
His Sister Bella is also missing him, however we know he’s running free in Heaven with our family who’s departed from us, especially Jasper who truly enjoyed Baxter…
