Bootsie Rose (AKA Sasha Vela) was born on 11/11/2006 in San Antonio, TX and passed away in her sleep on 7/17/2024 at the age of 17 yrs in San Antonio, TX. She is preceded in death by her brother Elmo Rae Rodriguez (2007-2024). Bootsie was mostly independent, peace loving, and sometimes elusive. She was also an intelligent little creature who enjoyed walks, barbecues, and a variety of fruits and vegetables. She also had an innate instinct to hunt. She had an exceptional personality and warmed the hearts of everyone who met her. Bootsie also earned her certification as an emotional support animal. She will be deeply missed by her family, including her baby sister Bitsy Lynn Rodriguez.

The Boot gave us 17 years of love. She had a great personality. I can not tell you how much she was loved. She has 3 dads, 1 brother, and 1 sister. We are going/already are miss you. She had a bad heart, and the vet told us that she could pass away anytime. However, she lived 5 or 6 years after that. She also suffered from arthritis, lost her eye site. I love you baby. (The Boot). I will see you again one day. I love you, dad!
