BRITTANY PROFFITT SWAYZE Departed on July 29, 2013 Brittany came to live with me on a temporary basis when her family (Vicki and Payton) were relocating. She immediately became buddies with Max, a 120 lb. Akita. (See 2006 obit for Max Proffitt Swayze in All Paws Pet Obituaries) By the time her family was able to “reclaim” Brittany, she and her buddy Max were inseparable so she stayed in San Antonio with Chris, Max and me. Later we got Buddy and she loved him also. Brittany was so precious and she loved everybody. She loved all of her family, her animal friends, her vets — Dr. Johnson, Dr. Powell and Dr. Bonnie. She loved everybody at Lucy’s Day Care and Spa and particularly Vicki and John at Vicki’s Pet Grooming. Brittany’s spirit and heart never gave out but her little body did. Letting her go was one of the most difficult things I ever did — but it was time. The last beautiful memory I have of Brittany is when I was holding her, as she was just going to sleep, and she was gently licking away the tears from my face. I held her close through her last breath — that is what she deserved. Brittany I miss you so much. Your urn and collar are beside Max’s urn and collar in my bedroom I find comfort in that. You will ALWAYS AND FOREVER be in my heart and I WILL CHERISH THE THOUSANDS OF MEMORIES I HAVE OF YOU – until we meet at the Rainbow Bridge. Be sure to look for Max, he has gathered up all of our family’s and our friend’s pets that are at the Rainbow Bridge and they are waiting for you to join them. Tribute to Brittany Proffitt Swayze, precious Peekapoo who arrived at the Rainbow Bridge on July 29, 2013, after giving 14+ years of wonderful memories to her family.
