Brownie Nichol

HR Catherine’s Little Brownie. Good by from this world little girl. At 15 years you sure had a long and very active dog’s life. As a Boykin Spaniel, a flushing spaniel, and a great little retriever both on land and water you, with Dolly and I, had a life of hunting around this country that all working dogs dream of. We hunted pheasant in South Dakota , ducks, quail, dove and geese in Tennessee and Texas ; and we enjoyed these hunts together from the time you were 6 months old until 14 years. When we weren’t hunting or training to hunt, we spent our lives together most every where I went. You were always in the front seat of the pick-up right beside me and on the foot of the bed every night.
I want you to know little Brown, that you take a big part of my heart with you as you leave. That love will be with you forever and will bring us back together again in the very near future. Your sister Dolly is at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for you. Augie will be there also. There will be no more pain and you three guys just play and stay close so I can find you easily when I arrive. Please forgive me for all the mistakes I made when we trained. You showed me so much more about life and love and hunting than I ever taught you. You were my dog, Brownie. You were and will always be the pride of my life.
God’s speed little girl,
Howard
