Dee Dee Pennington

On Sunday, November 20, 2016, the Pennington family lost our sweetheart DeeDee. She was the leader of our pack, our alpha dog. Her days were filled with accompanying her Dad everywhere he went, sitting at his feet adoringly, and enjoying her treats. She had come to us as a rescue through our vet after her first Dad died but we were never sure who rescued who. Her devotion to Dad was more than extraordinaryshe was his” helping dog”. She helped him drive the truck, she helped in the garage, she helped in the yard, she helped in the kitchen, she helped “guide” her brothers and sisters! We miss her helping terribly. To show her delight in what was going on she would spin with glee. Therefore, she was also our “spinner”! Our neighborhood was protected by her vigilant guarding from our front door that was her big screen TV.

She was born September 1, 2001 and lived a wonderful 15+ years. During her later years, she developed two collapses in her trachea which cause her great problems. Vet medicine has not yet found a satisfactory cure for that problem. So, we hope the cure is found soon so that other puppies do not have to suffer as she did.

DeeDee is survived by her Dad and Mom, Jerry and Cathy Pennington, her second Mom Michele, and by her sister, Bridgette, and brothers, Bandit, Beau, and Teddy. Proceeding her in death were her sisters Sam, Cindy, and Sugar, and brothers, Ringo and Buster. We know she will be waiting at Rainbow Bridge for us and we look forward to the day we can see and be with her again to spend all eternity.

We love you, DeeDee, and we miss you!
