Dixie Girl Donham

dixie girl donham

We had to say good bye to our darling Dixie last night. My heart is aching but she is out of pain. Oh, how I miss her already. There were no snuggles in bed this morning, no playing in here warm water bowl I made her every morning. There was no kurthunking (yes, that’s a word) down the stairs because her little legs were riddled with arthritus…but that didn’t stop her (bless her)…yes, she had slowed down but she still jumped on the sofa & chairs to sit by us.  Dixie was a quiet girl…she rarely used her voice but she and I were kindred spirits and we always knew what each other needed or wanted.  Oh…God, how do we ever get over loosing our fur babies? It hurts so bad! 😢💔
