Duke Rose Alvarez

duke alvarez

Duke Rose Alvarez, born on February 3, 2008 passed away due to an allergic reaction from a combination vaccine. Duke was 9 years old. He was born in Tulsa Oklahoma, from B Paws Bullies Miss ” Addy Tude” and B Paw Bullies ” Cracker Jack” on a Super Bowl Sunday. An upset in the history of the NFL when the Giants beat the Patriots.

He was loved by so many and so grateful for all the love the world had to give. His favorite food was Heritage Ranch Salmon flavor from HEB, and he LOVED his snackies. He was never really good with toys because he would just tear them up in a matter of a few seconds. He loved his naps, and he loved being at home with his mom and dad, Peter and Haley Alvarez. He also loved visiting his Grammy and Grampy, Bruce and Lucy. Grampy always let him go the extra mile and chew on logs next to the fire pit outside, while chasing a big ball that momma hated because it got him way to worked up. Grammy and Grampy always stocked his favorite snackies that his mom did not approve of, so he loved that. He loved his family so much.

“Duke was my baby and since I was 21 i would take him everywhere with me, he enjoyed visiting local Texas rivers, lakes, and beaches and loved playing any kind of sport (Until he would flatten the ball with his teeth.) He loved getting in the water even though he could never swim and would sink to the bottom, I was always quick to be next to him and make sure he did not leave the shallow. He was along for the ride with me throughout my entire twenties and even walked me down the aisle with my dad, as I married Peter ” -Haley

Duke was Peters first ever dog as he married Haley, he also added a loving bulldog to his life. Duke loved Peter so much and always greeted him with a hug when he got home. Duke was Peters spirit animal, and best friend.

He has such a large fan base that fell in love with him just by following his photos, and videos on Facebook. The world is left better with knowing Duke, but not with out a lot of broken hearts and tears shed. He truly touched our lives forever. Rest in Peace Dukey. We will never forget your big hugs, your farts that ALWAYS made us laugh, and your big bulldog smile.
