Izzy Kirby

Our baby, Izzy, was a very small calico cat. She joined our colony of ferals and lived with the wild cats for many years, but she had obviously been a house pet before, because she never lost her sweet and gentle nature. After she developed severe digestive problems, she spent almost a month at the vet’s office and was scheduled to be put down when they tried a novel diet as a last ditch effort. It worked beautifully, and we took her into the house to keep the diet going. She quickly found her place among the dogs, and lived inside happily to the age of 19.

She died beside her Mama, and went across the bridge to join her many friends from a long and active life. Her absence has left a huge hole in our lives, and we loved her very much.
