Jasmine Souhrada

jasmine souhrada

Jasmine “Tater” adopted her human when she was only three months old. She grew into a beautiful and independent tortie. Over the years, her family grew and so did the love she gave and demanded. Her best friends were a purple stuffed mouse and any Q-tip she could find. Jasmine was a fighter, a trait put to the test about three years ago when an illness almost overcame her. She fought hard and recovered with the help of her now larger family. Through her illness, she taught us things we didn’t imagine ourselves capable of doing. When she got tired, and the effects of years of illness and disease became too much for her to bear, it was time to set her free. Although an incredibly hard decision to make, it was time to ease her suffering. Three days before her twelfth birthday, Jasmine went on to a better place. The household will never be the same! She will always be greatly missed. Always first to great one at the door, the bunny-hop trick to receive a treat, and sleeping in her “penthouse”. These are just a few of the things that will be missed about her.

Jasmine, you fought long and hard. Now is your time to be free from pain and disease. You will be forever missed by Shawn, Raul, Andre, Piper, Scratchy, and all of your extended family of human grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and neighbors who supported you throughout the years. Rest well, Tater! Play hard and run free, remember who loves you and the promise kept never to leave you. Until we see you again…
