She didn’t know she was a canine

Before she came into our lives, she was simple dog, raised outside, free to run wild.

She quickly transitioned into an indoor dog and made our house her home. Finding the softest spot in the house to lay, whether it was a basket of clean clothes, or a pile of pillows on the bed.

If she didn’t like something, she quickly let you know. She didn’t like eye contact, if she saw you looking into her eyes, she would snap at you, never aggressive, just to let you know it wasn’t ok. If she didn’t like her food, she would stick her nose into the bowl, and scatter it all over the floor. She would pick out what she wanted and leave the rest. She did not like squeaky toys and if you did touch her toy, she would quickly take it away from you.

In her silly moods, she would see her tail in the corner of her eye, bark and chase it. You could tell she knew it was silly.

She was well behaved. Very rarely scolded, she understood “Mind your business” and would look away. “Go to your room” she would leave and wait a minute or two for “Are you sorry?” She would happily come running with a “kiss on the chin”. She learned numerous tricks, “sit”, “shake”, “Stick ’em up” (standing on her hind legs) followed by “Bang Bang” (laying on the ground), please (stand on her hind legs and place both paws in your hand)

She greeted everyone at the door, sometimes with her silly smile (teeth showing), tail wagging or if you were lucky, her Chewbacca sound “HI”.

She was most playful with the air was cold outside, she loved to run around and play when it was cold.

She enjoyed her canine treats, but her favorite snacks were Nutter butter cookies, crackers with peanut butter (she didn’t want the cracker without peanut butter) or honey nut cheerios.

She did love attention. The more attention she got, the more she wanted. She did love her “belly rubs” When you kissed her on the cheek, she would rub her paws on her face, as if to wipe away your kiss.

She was preceded in death by her longtime loyal companion, Monkey. Survived by her Williams family. We love and miss you…. Run free Baby Girl… keep chasing them possums!
