Maggie Mae Garcia

Maggie Mae was born on October 7th, 2006, to an American Cocker-Spaniel breeder, in San Antonio, TX. She was the smallest female puppy in the litter, and was given to her owner, Lisa Christine Garcia, that Christmas, by Lisa’s brother Robert Daniel Garcia. She was welcomed, by her older canine sibling, Bailey Mattheu, who was a 2 yr old, male Shih-Tzu, at the time. Maggie loved, cuddling up with her owner, at night, and would race Bailey, to the bed, so she could be closer, to her owner, than Bailey, on a daily basis. She also loved to cuddle up, in a fetal position, on her owner’s face and neck, during her first couple of months, at night, while adjusting to her new home and family. One of Maggie’s favorite things, was to walk on the Trinity University track, and chase the squirrels, while Bailey, tried to keep up, with his little canine sister’s energy. Then just as Maggie, turned one, we found that she, had Special Needs, due to how small she was at birth, from the Vet. And it explained a lot, but the biggest thing, it did, was give her owner and the rest of the family & friends, a great example of overcoming obstacles in life, regardless of what they are. Maggie, had some delays, that caused her to be a bit slower in her development, but she never let it get the best of her. She actually began outsmarting, her owner and family, by doing things, not even, big brother, Bailey was capable of doing. She soon proved to be teaching us, and not us teaching her. Maggie, brought laughter, comfort, hope, love, and happiness, to her owner, big brother Bailey, the rest of the family, friends, and so many others, during her short, but happy life. Maggie Mae, bid farewell to her owner, big brother Bailey, and the rest of the family & friends, on April 24th, 2008, and went to be with her Heavenly Father, and the rest of the family pets, who passed before her, in Heaven. Her passing, was a peaceful one, with her owner, with her, saying “I Love You, Maggie Mae”, just seconds before she passed away. She is survived by her owner, Lisa Christine Garcia, her canine brother, Bailey Mattheu, and Family & Friends: Patricia Reider Garcia, Robert Daniel Garcia, Meredith Jane Bowdey, and Curtis M Kubisiak, who loved her very much. Maggie’s ashes are planned to be scattered, at a park, in the near future, by her owner, brother Bailey, and some other family & friends. Please help us continue to celebrate Maggie Mae’s life daily, by remembering that anyone, including a canine, in life can overcome any obstacles in life. That is what Maggie Mae would want, us all to do, so please join us, in doing so, daily, in Memory of Maggie Mae.
