Some might say we met by accident, I say it was destiny. We met at a fruit stand at Big Daddy’s flea market in Las Cruces, NM when you were six weeks old. My mother saw you first and I quickly knew you would be coming home with me,from then on you never left my side. You looked like a little sleeping piglet. Everyone loved your right pink eye and your little expressions.
A few years later we met your dad. He knew he had to win your heart before we could all be a happy family. That’s when you became the traveling bulldog. You moved to Germany and travelled to England, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, Austria, Italy and the Netherlands. Some would say you slept your way through Europe. A few years later we moved to Virginia, where you loved patrolling your new house and neighborhood in Greenbriar. Your favorite thing to do was chase the sun for sun patches.
This past summer we moved to Boerne, Texas where you again patrolled the backyard and found new sun patches.
Some of your favorite things to do were napping and snoring, waiting for your dad to get up so you could steal his chair, wrestling with him and getting belly rubs, jumping in water on a warm day, sticking your big beautiful head in bags to inspect what was in them and smelling all the plants in the garden. Your passing has left a hole in our hearts that we can’t describe with words. Earth lost a big beautiful angel. You had such a funny sense of humor. We love you Goose, and we will carry you within our hearts forever! Adios mi amor!
