Marius Alvarez

marius alvarez

Born nine years ago into this world, Marius spent his last breath surrounded by his human family on July 1, 2009 with his primary owner holding his paw. He was a truly special cat, and at times had an attitude that was reminscient of royalty. Most often he had very particular tastes only wanting Iced water, meow mix, and his gourmet food. Marius was very loving with an often rebellious yet playful spirit. Once he entered our home, he truly became a part of the family. He had his own room, his own hallway, and even his own bathroom. One of his favorite things though was curling up onto our laps and sleeping. He had a short fuse like his owner, but had a huge capacity to love as well. He loved attention but tried not to let it show. He would jump on and off the doors and from shelf to shelf; always a curious cat. Throughout the day you could hear him calling to his owner, which we jokingly said was him saying “Mom”. The day he passed was a sad day for us in which lots of tears were shed. Even though we no longer hear him jumping on the doors or running through the rooms, it doesn’t mean that he won’t be in our hearts forever and ever. We will remember his time with us always and will hold his memory deep within us where his little paws left footprints upon each of our hearts. We love him everyday and will miss him everyday of our lives and can only look forward to joining him in heaven where we will walk across the bridge that will carry us through the pearly gates with him in our arms.
