Merlin was a very unique and special cat. He was a full breed black Bombay with large yellow eyes which would change to green on sunny days. He was born near Key West Florida and was moved to Vicenzia Italy at the age on 1, where he came into my life. Merlin was a outgoing and full of energy and life. Merlin had a way with people, even people who only meet him for just a brief minute, he touched there life in a special way. People often told me that they felt calm and happy when around him. This went on for the remainder of his wonderful life. In 2002 I was diagnosed with a chronic illness, from that day forward, he would wake me at night when i was sick, and on numerous times, wake me letting me know to take my medicine, this ultimately save my life on many occasions. Merlin then moved to Texas in 2003. We were briefly separated but soon found each other again. Merlin on that day ran to me with so much joy and relief in his eyes. Merlin and I were very close, inseparable, best friends. We then moved to a large house in the country where Merlin spent his days sitting by the screen door, teaching his sister Miley about the beautiful things in life. The same things he taught so many people. To slow down, and notice the small things, the beautiful things. Merlin was accepted to the rainbow bridge on January 18, 2012 at 6:08 am. Cancer took his wonderful life. we are still getting condolence’s from so many people, people that only meet him once, but touched their life. His passing yet tragic, reminded us to remember what he always said ” stop and look at the beautiful things, the small things.” He will be greatly missed by so many. Until we meet again Merlin at the rainbow bridge.
