Mia Cummings

Mia was born in Houston, Texas February 2004. She came home, from her breeder, to live with me in San Antonio April of 2004. She was smart, stubborn, and determined. She usually got her way. Including riding on my lap, instead of the seat, from Texas to California in 2008 and back in 2009. She was like my child;my only daughter. Mia cocked her head to the side when asked questions and always lay with one foot ready to run, like a sprinter, even when she could no longer. Unfortunately, a third of Mia’s 9 yrs. of life were affected by Cushing’s. She started having limitations and ultimately lost mobility. Her eyes said she was trapped in a body that was failing. She humanely left this world and her failing body December 26, 2013, with her foot in the sprint position. My boyfriend of 9 yrs., who became her father, and I will never forget the way she touched our lives or her sweetness. Rest in peace, Mia.
