Miles Chapa

Miles had been at the Animal Defense League only 2 days when we found him in March 1999. Miles put a paw on Daddy’s knee to say hi. That was all it took. Daddy hid out with Miles in the very back of the shelter while Mommy sped home to go get proof we could take Miles home. Butterscotch and Miles had their differences but soon they were the best of buddies, inseparable. When we moved to our new house, Miles enjoyed the echo of his own bark and he, along with Butterscotch had to learn what stairs were. Miles was a definite Daddy’s boy. We soon learned Miles was terrified of loud noises, especially thunder. When storms came in, Miles went to Daddy to let him know something scary was outside, the world was gonna end and Daddy had to check it out (whether Daddy wanted to sleep or not). We had a wonderful 14 years, 2 months with our boy until it was time for him to go the Bridge on May 14, 2013. Mommy, Daddy and Buttercup miss our baby boy very much.
