Penny was born on the 4th of July in 1999. She was a little firecracker and a great big bundle of joy. Right from the start we knew that we had a very independent spirit living with us. She was full of energy and playfulness and a bottomless heart full of love for everyone. Anyone who came to our home got a warm welcome from Miss Money Penny. She was a quick study with a whole set of tricks up her sleeve and was always eager to perform for a small biscuit. To say that she was smart would be an understatement. She could dance and twirl, sit, fetch, speak, jump and high five and never tired of doing so. She was also very good at catching flying Cheerios in her mouth. She was even able to “read” commands and hand signals too. I’m sure she was only limited by the time I could spend teaching her new things…she was always up for a challenge. In her short eleven years of life Penny touched many hearts and helped to heal others with her mere presence and her unconditional love. The people at the nursing home loved to see her coming because she always had love to spread with her joyful attitude and the wag of her tail. She was a friend to many and they loved her. There is no doubt that she has gone up to heaven to spread her wings and spread more love there. She is gone but she will never be forgotten. Penny, you live in heaven and in our hearts… we love you and will always miss you…Pennies from Heaven.
