Mocha Ramirez

mocha ramirez

Mocha was a dog that never knew she was a dog. From the moment I brought her to my apartment , my life had changed. I was a college kid and she was my companion. I took her everywhere a dog was allowed to go. We went to the river together , the beach, she loved jumping the waves, chasing the seagulls and digging in the sand. Relationships would come and go but she was always there to pick up the pieces. She got a fur sister – Lina – and later a Fur brother Chile but she was the only one that wasn’t a dog. She knew many tricks but my favorite trick was when she would hug you and I never taught her that one .She even got to see me find the love of my life and was there when he purposed ! She crawled inside my husbands heart as well and he was a wonderful daddy to her. She was the exception. ” No dogs upstairs, except Mocha” , “no dogs in the bed, except Mocha”. She was even there throughout my pregnancy laying her little head on my belly. When my son arrived she enjoyed walking by our side around the neighborhood and sometimes even riding in the bottom part of the stroller when the walk was longer . She was with me though it all, and when she left she knew she had served her purpose . Her little paws permanently etched in our hearts – until we meet again .
