My dearest Nala,
I will never forget the day we first met…I went to go see you along with all your brothers and sisters. You actually chose me, I didn’t have to do the choosing. I remember how incredibly soft you felt, it was unbelievable. I never imagined we would then spend the next 12 years together. I also would’ve never imagined the day we wouldn’t be with each other anymore. You were my companion, my true best friend who was always willing to listen and dry my tears at any time of the day or night. Although you aren’t with me anymore, physically, I promise to keep you near my heart and always think of you. The times we spent together were the most memorable moments in my life. You impacted me greatly. You were there when I graduated high school, college, you saw me get married and became a wonderful big sister to our daughter. You were there for many many firsts and I’m grateful for those memories. I took care of you and loved you to the best of my ability. Nala, you will be missed tremendously by us all…my intentions are to save other pets who are fearful of fireworks and run away, in memory of you. My precious girl, go now in peace, but never forget us. Go play until the sun comes up, no one is stopping you now. I love you very much my baby!
