Obi Leman
January 12, 2000 ~ March 12, 2013
Obi was born on 01/12/2000 and passed away on 03/12/2013. He passed away with us all around him in the yard for his last breath. He loved the beach, tennis balls, and family. He went every where with us. He wasn’t just a pet, he was apart of the family and alway will be. He wasn’t a Frisbee lover, he was a tennis ball lover. So much that he would pop them in his mouth. He listened very well. Every word we said to him he would do it, even when we spelled it. He was a super dog. At the beach he ran across the sand with his ears flopping in the wind. He loved table food and tried to take any new pet on “the walk”. “The Walk” consisted of Obi losing any new pet in the neighborhood so that it could’nt nfind it’s way home, except for cats for some reason. He never bit or was aggressive only would lick you to death. He loved rolling in the grass. He would try to catch deer but ended up running back home with his tail between his legs. He was a lover not a fighter. Every night he would check all the kids rooms to make sure they were ok before going to bed for the night. He also walked the kids to the bus stop and waited for them there at the end of the day. The community knew Obi as the ” happy dog” because he was always there waiting with the kids. Cleaning was impossible since he shed hair everywhere, in fact thats one thing we had to have with his ashes, his hair. He would wait patiently at the door until we told him to come in. We called him Obi da boi. He was so set in his ways and such a good dog, no not just a dog, a super dog who was loved so very much by his family who misses him sooooo much.
