Oliver James "Ollie-Pop" Fichter

Oliver James “Ollie-Pop” Fichter was born February 8, 2025 near President George W. Bush’s ranch in Crawford, Texas. He was adopted as a puppy by a lady who owned two horses, which turned into a traumatic situation. Oliver was stepped on by one of the horses and became aggressive towards them, which forced his previous owner to give him up.

Our family adopted Oliver on Thanksgiving 2025 and he was given to my husband, Glenn, as an early Christmas present from me and his daughters, fulfilling a lifelong dream of owning a tri-roan English Springer Spaniel. Oliver lived a happy life in Bulverde, Texas, where he ran the entire property with his two other Springer brothers, Cooper and Winston. Those three became the “Three Musketeers” – always getting into some sort of mischief, countersurfing, playing tug o’ war with dog toys, chasing each other, demanding belly rubs, licking us constantly and enjoyed daily rides in the truck. Oliver was a fierce protector of our home and land, enjoyed playing fetch, and stealing treats off the counter. Oliver recently learned to ride in a skid steer with Glenn on the family ranch and every night, he always loved to lay on top of my head when I was relaxing in my recliner.

Ollie-Pop passed over the Rainbow Bridge into the arms of our Lord and Savior the morning of November 1, 2026 from an undetected heart condition. He will always be loved and forever remembered.

The Fichter family extends many thanks to All Paws Great and Small Pet Funeral Home & Crematory and their staff for their top notch private cremation service, compassion, kindness, dignity, care, support, and excellent hospitality during such an unexpectedly difficult time. We are truly and forever grateful.
