Otis "Boo-boo" Oualline

otis oualline

Otis was born at the Animal Defense League on January 13, 2004. We adopted him when he was only 12 weeks old. I’ve had dogs before, but this was my husband’s first. He was a black ball of fur, a Labrador and Rhodesian Ridgeback mix; but when I saw him, I was in love and knew he was going to be with us for a long time. We brought him home, and he loved to run and play in the yard. His favorite things to do were to chase Mom and Dad around the yard, and play in his pool. He loved cool mornings the most; he would beg to go outside to sun his belly. All we could think is, what do the neighbors think when they see this 90-pound dog belly side up! But they loved him as well. They were saddened when they heard he was ill, and of his passing. Otis lived such a full and loved life; he was spoiled, to say the least. He sat where he wanted to in the house, and even slept where he wanted, usually over Mom’s head on the bed every night. When he wanted something, he usually got it. He was our Boo-boo. He had every toy made from the all the stores across San Antonio. After Otis started falling ill, we knew the day was coming closer for us to make a choice. With a heavy heart, we let Otis go on April 24, 2015. His brother Jackson misses him very much. The Oualline family lost such a large part of our family today. We miss you, and will see you again!
