Patrick Dorsey

patrick dorsey

Patrick came to me as a puppy in March of 2006. As a sophomore in college It couldnt have been better timing. He was a sweet, rambunctious and most importantly, loyal dog. Always by my side, and always waiting by the door when I left. Never a judge of time when I was gone too long. He was my companion. Patrick had two favorite hobbies; going on runs with me and swimming in the big blue ocean. In the 12 plus years that I spent with Patrick we moved 7 times. Two countries and 6 cities later Patrick was just as happy in his new place as the place before. He helped welcome my two babies home in 2014 and 2016. Patrick was there for every wrench life threw at me. Towards the end of Patricks life he suffered from severe debilitating arthritis, an autoimmune disorder and liver disease. For all that Patrick did for me and everyone he came into contact with, the least I could do was give him my good knee, my skin and my liver. Unfortunately, it doesnt quite work that way. We owed it to Patrick to let him go in peace. On June 21st, 2018, we let Patrick go. I hope by reading this we can all take a few tips from Patrick. Be loyal, be kind and love unconditionally.
