Precious Angel Princess

precious princess

Precious Angel Princess was born on July 5, 2002 to Laura Schaefer in Schertz, TX. PAP would be a surprise addition to the Guerrero (Johnny) residence on Burges Street in Seguin which his daughters Jennifer, Kayla & Amanda would come home with. During her stay in town Precious was picked up twice by the pound for getting loose, and one of which was during Jenn’s Cross Country race out of state. Precious being cute and likable would be offered for adoption if not claimed, and she was also falsely claimed by another. Thankfully Animal Control would wait for Jennifer to return to town in order to provide proof of Precious’ ownership which Jennifer took pictures of her at least every 6 months to show the growth of her baby. It was even said that Precious swam across the river behind Uncle Johnny’s house to a neighbors who was going to keep her until they concluded she was a (hyperactive) dog. In her youth Precious enjoyed going on runs with her Companion, Jennifer. As a pup she would hide behind her master if a dog barked at them. As she matured she would run out in front to protect her master. As she grew so did Precious’ wardrobe from a Princess costume, to a reflective jacket, sweater or short and shirts…she wore whatever her companion asked to appease her. Precious has all the characteristics you can ask for…she’s loyal and displays unconditional love. However, she did have her frustrating moments as well. When Precious moved out to the country at Guela Santos while Jenn was in college, Jenn had a small Mitsubishi Mirage and Precious would jump on the hood and bark at her through the front windshield! She would then chase her down the country road barking and running in front of the car so she would not leave. These chases sometimes made it over a quarter mile up Zion Hill Road! In April 2010 Precious would turn into an inside dog at Jenn’s first house in San Antonio. A couple months later Jenn would introduce Precious to her first sibling, Shiloh who joined their household. Shi being a lab mix pup had more energy than Precious cared to be around her being age 8 and him being less than 1 year. Despite the age gap they both enjoyed sleeping inside with the a/c running during the summer months and the heater during the winter months. Jennifer would also enjoy the cuddling and receiving the affection these two large beasts would give as they slept with her in bed. At age 12, Precious would be introduced to her first human sibling, Liam Josiah Rosemark. Being older in age and the only true baby during her lifetime she didn’t recognize the new baby her companion brought home. To her she was fine being the one and only baby. If she could have her way she would have probably asked the new crazy little one be given to another home as her brother, Shi left to live with his uncle, Daniel. Our family has enjoyed Precious in good times and celebrations, and in bad time of mourning (some of which she caused). Precious saw her good share of doctors in her lifetime. From being spayed (which resulted in her continued youthfulness) to being hit by a car, tested and treated for possible cancer in the eye to a 6 month process of getting rid of heart worms. Precious is a fighter. It’s with a sad heart to share that her fight has come to an end. With a recent diagnosis of hip dysphasia and not being able to walk again, cataracts and hearing loss, her quality of life is forever changed. No one ever wants to be put in the position of needing to make such a tough decision, but our time has come and we have so many stories to remember Precious in her good healthy days.
