Yankee was born on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3, 2008. Bringing instant happiness and love to all those he met and came across. Yankee is preceded in death by his fur brother, Duncan. He is survived by his human mommas Marissa Cardoza, Dina Castillo and numerous family members who all loved him deeply.
Yankee filled our home and hearts with nothing but joy, happiness and love. Yankee was welcomed into our home with love, and in return he loved us and showed us that until his final breath. He lived a great life and made our lives even greater. Yankee leaves behind so many memories that we will cherish and hold near to our heart.
Yankee enjoyed watching football games, hanging around during a bbq or party, car rides, and traveling. He loved cuddling, kisses, rubs, naps, and snacks.
We couldn’t have asked for a better fur baby. He was perfect and loyal. We were blessed to be by his side to help make his transition as peaceful and comfortable as possible. We loved him and he loved us just as much or even more. And for that we will always be eternally grateful. Rest easy our precious boy.
We love them as children and it hurts all the same.
Yankee lived his best life! He will be missed but his memories will forever be in your heart!❤️ Loved him most in his Texas jersey. 😭🤘🏽🧡🤍🐾
We remember when you got Yankee and he was just the coolest puppy…he sure grew into his personality, and YOU sure gave him the best life possible!
Yankee was such a calm pup. We loved him so much because he had such a great personality and a way with people. He always had his backpack on and ready to go anywhere. He lived a beautiful life with you Marissa and Dina. Rest in peace Yankee and look for my Chewy up in Doggy Heaven!

Yankee, the moment I laid eyes on you, it was love at first sight. That little face of yours stole my heart and I knew I was going to love you forever. Little did I know, I was the lucky one. Lucky to be able to have spent your whole life with you. Thank you for showing me the true meaning of love. We had the best life together, it just made sense. You will forever be in my heart…Rest easy handsome boy. Mama loves you! Give Duncan and Chewy tons of kisses.
Yankee somehow would con me into giving him a treat every time I would visit! Even though his mamas would tell me he just had one….I had to sneak him another! I am going to miss his little face waiting for me to sneak him a treat! He was always the sweetest!!!!
Condolences to Marissa and family. They’re like our children and it’s like losing a part of your heart. May he have all the treats he wants in doggy heaven!!
I am so sorry for your loss 😔 when I lost my Kira I was devastated! Hoping God gives y’all the strength needed to grieve!
