Lakota Brown

lakota brown

September 1998 – December 2011 Lakota was a loyal and true member of the family. She was never destined to be a guard dog because she was so sweet and friendly with everyone she came in contact with, and she didn’t have a mean bone in her body. She always looked forward to her walks and to her treats, and in her later years, to going to lay in Grandma’s room to take a nap. Instead of her being trained, she trained us, barking to let us know when she wanted to go in or out, so much so that even the extended family knew what to do when they were stopping by for a visit. Before her arthritis got too bad, enjoyed going on long walks in mcAllister park, and riding in the front seat on the way there and back. She always greeted me exitedly when I got home and I always knew someone would be there to greet me when I returned home after a bad or hard day at work. She never judged and loved me unconditionally and she carved out a place in my heart that will never be filled.

I know she is in heaven running around free of pain and waiting to see all when we get there.
